This project consisted of the demolition of the carpeted wood platform in the center of the sanctuary. A new concrete platform with an accessible ramp and railings for the steps was constructed. Terrazzo tiles were used to cover the new platform and tie in with the existing architectural language of the monolithic sanctuary terrazzo flooring. Some of the pews were modified and refurbished to conform to the new platform configuration. A new hand-carved, solid wood altar, wooden seats, and ambo were included in the renovation of the platform area. On the exterior, new handrails were installed on the back steps of the sanctuary.
