New Orleans, LA
This project consisted of the transformation of the main entrance to the existing sanctuary building into a new, modern church edifice with religious symbolism. A large, vertical vestibule was built over the existing sidewalk to create a new ceremonial entrance and provide an energy efficient separation between the main narthex and the weather outside. An open-air canopy was built on the both sides of the new entrance to provide some protection from the weather at the secondary entrances and dividing the façade into three parts, symbolizing the importance of the trinity as a focus of the organization’s beliefs.
